I wasn’t familiar with The Chapman House until we had to find a place for my aunt to live. I quickly became impressed with their facility and the staff. They are so friendly, caring and accommodating and kept us well informed. They took such great care of my aunt, which was so comforting to the family.

June 25 Announcement

Dear Family Member:

Remarkably, the halfway point of 2025 has arrived in the blink of an eye. June brings warmer days and the promise of bird songs, flowers, outdoor concerts and all the pleasantries of summer. Please enjoy our grounds with your loved ones and make memories together and with the staff at The Chapman House.

Gilman “Gil” Michaud has joined The Chapman House as the Food Service Director. Gil comes with a background in culinary arts and customer service. By speaking with residents in the dining room, Gil is learning food preferences in a personalized manner. Sheryll Seger, Activity Coordinator, continues to assist in the kitchen while Gil builds a team and orients to his new position.

Activities will continue in a modified fashion until Sheryll is back in full swing. Residents are enjoying the outside and staff members are filling in for Bingo, games, craft, and some spontaneous events. Live entertainment and movies are also offered.

From the Maintenance desk:

Please be patient as the weather transitions from cold nights to warm days. Bob, Maintenance Director, is adjusting temperatures in the building as the seasonal temperatures vary outside. The State regulations require the communal areas of the building to be maintained at seventy-five (75) degrees Fahrenheit or higher to ensure the comfort of the residents. This does not apply to bedrooms where residents control the temperature. Residents may have cooling fans in their rooms. By leaving resident room doors open, these fans help draw the central air from the hallways. If a resident chooses to open a room window, please keep the door to the room closed, The Resident Care Director can approve air conditioners in resident rooms according to the medical condition of the resident.

Update Admission contract:

If you have not signed an admission contract for 2025, please contact Bonnie, Administrator, to sign the paperwork. The admission contract needs to be signed annually.

Our third Partners in Care Family Meeting, in conjunction with Andwell Health Partners, will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at The Chapman House. Chapman House, along with Andwell Health Partners, plans to offer family members the opportunity to share resources and learn together through these monthly meetings. Conversations are confidential and important as future goals/strategies are created to provide quality services in an increasingly confusing system to understand and maneuver. Thank you to the family members who have attended and to those of you that choose to attend in the future. Please let Bonnie know if you have any questions regarding this forum.

The Staff Members and The Board of Directors want to thank all our residents, families, and vendors for enabling us to make The Chapman House a home.
