I wasn’t familiar with The Chapman House until we had to find a place for my aunt to live. I quickly became impressed with their facility and the staff. They are so friendly, caring and accommodating and kept us well informed. They took such great care of my aunt, which was so comforting to the family.

Visit The Chapman House

Schedule a tour with our incredible staff to meet the team and take a look at our facilities. We accept ladies who are aged 65 or older. Walkers, canes, and oxygen are acceptable. Staff is trained to handle diabetes and insulin management, and assistance is given to answering questions regarding financial affordability through private pay or insurance.

We continue to monitor and follow CDC COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations. Our staff wear masks at all times and we ask visitors to wear a mask in the hallways of the building.

Chapman House Oct '24 Announcement

Dear Community Member:

As October sneaks into view, the Holidays and festivities come to mind. The residents and staff of The Chapman House are excited to invite you to our second annual craft fair. This fair will be held on November 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM -2:00 PM. Vendors will be set up to sell products and there will be hot chowder and food available for purchase. Food sales will benefit our Resident Council (Something Club).If you are interested in a vendor table, please call Sheryll Seger at 207-783-0961.

Please join us in welcoming a new staff member: Sulekha Abdow, PSS, will be on second/third shifts.

You are invited to participate in a discussion on Loss as We Age with Christine Foss of Andwell Home Health. The Chapman House will host Christine on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM -11: 00 AM in the activity room.

A FLU CLINIC: Bedard Pharmacy staff will be at The Chapman House on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, to administer flu shots to our residents. If you have any questions, please contact Jeanine Labrecque, RN at 207-783-0961.

Voting: Residents will have the ability to vote via absentee ballad in the activity room at The Chapman House, on October 21, 2024.

New Admission Packets: If your loved one was admitted prior to June 10, 2024, you and your loved one will be asked to sign a revised copy. Bonnie Iwans, Administrator, will be reaching out to you to schedule a time to accomplish this task.

Department of Human Services mailings: Please share any correspondence from the Department of Human Services with Deanna Bragan in our Business Office. By working with Deanna regarding this information, your loved one’s coverage and accounts will allow for accurate and efficient usage/results of these benefits.

Transportation: When you are transporting your loved one to the doctor’s office, we MUST receive the written doctor’s orders from the appointment to facilitate proper care of the resident. The doctor’s progress note MUST be sent back to the staff so modifications (if any) can be made to our individualized plan of care. Please communicate with Michelle “Shellie” Kennison at wardclerk@chapmanhouse.org or by calling 207-783-0961 regarding transportation needs for resident appointments. Please give Shellie, our Ward Clerk, two (2) weeks’ notice to plan appointments. We welcome family involvement with transportation.

If your loved one has snacks in her room, please provide a rubber maid plastic container for fresh and proper storage.

The Staff Members and The Board of Directors want to thank all our residents, families, and vendors for helping us to make The Chapman House a home.
