I wasn’t familiar with The Chapman House until we had to find a place for my aunt to live. I quickly became impressed with their facility and the staff. They are so friendly, caring and accommodating and kept us well informed. They took such great care of my aunt, which was so comforting to the family.

July 25 Announcement

July at The Chapman House
July is a month filled with celebration, community, and gratitude. As we recognize Independence Day and the 250th birthday of America, we honor our nation’s history, freedoms, and the generations whose contributions helped shape our country.

America’s 250th Birthday Celebration
On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, each resident and up to two guests are invited to enjoy an outdoor evening meal with live entertainment. Everyone is encouraged to wear red, white, and blue.

Room Safety and Comfort
With warmer weather, residents and families are encouraged to declutter and reorganize resident rooms to promote safety, comfort, and well-being while respecting personal dignity and choice. Bathroom pull cords must remain accessible from the floor and should not be tied or wrapped around nearby objects. Beginning August 1, 2026, room safety checks will occur following scheduled family care conferences.

If a resident opens a window during hot weather, we ask that the room door remain closed so the building’s airflow system can function properly.

Welcome Andrea Higson, RN

Family Education & Community Discussion
On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM, Carly Goodell, RN Clinical Manager of Andwell Hospice Services, will lead an informal discussion about hospice care, including when hospice may be appropriate, what support includes, and how hospice can help residents and families. Guests are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
