I wasn’t familiar with The Chapman House until we had to find a place for my aunt to live. I quickly became impressed with their facility and the staff. They are so friendly, caring and accommodating and kept us well informed. They took such great care of my aunt, which was so comforting to the family.

Visit The Chapman House

Schedule a tour with our incredible staff to meet the team and take a look at our facilities. We accept ladies who are aged 65 or older. Walkers, canes, and oxygen are acceptable. Staff is trained to handle diabetes and insulin management, and assistance is given to answering questions regarding financial affordability through private pay or insurance.

It’s like living in a grand hotel. The Chapman House is full of spirit, laughter, and through reminiscing we bring back memories of the past. Check out our activities calendar to view upcoming public events you can attend.

We continue to monitor and follow CDC COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations. Our staff wear masks at all times and we ask visitors to wear a mask in the hallways of the building.

Chapman House January 25 Announcement

Dear Community Member:

The staff of The Chapman House extend warm wishes to each of you as the first week of 2025 draws to a close.

Attached, please find a form to update your loved one’s contact, physician, and insurance Information. Providing copies of any insurance cards will help to ensure accuracy when sharing information with providers and/or vendors. 

Please communicate with Michelle Kennison at wardclerk@chapmanhouse.org or by calling 207-783-0961 regarding transportation needs for resident appointments. Michelle will schedule appointments within her time on duty to best accommodate residents’ transportation needs.  Michelle will transport residents if family members are unavailable, however, advanced notice is required for us to plan for appropriate coverage for the appointment.

We ask families that would like to bring a dog to visit with a loved one to call ahead and speak with Sheryll Seger, Activities or the Administrator to ensure the health and safety for our residents and staff. We ask that all fuzzy visitors be up to date on their vaccinations (The Chapman House MUST have a copy of the immunization records for each dog visiting), always remain leashed, and refrain from visiting areas outside the assigned visiting area. The staff will direct you to the appropriate area for the dog’s visit.

As the New Year begins, the hope is to continue to work with you and your loved ones for the best and most satisfying experience at The Chapman House. Please share any suggestions or ideas you may have with us.
