Since our beginning in 1887, The Chapman House has provided the finest care in assisted living to senior ladies who qualify for residential level care. We offer a homey atmosphere with an environment of warmth, love, and safety.
A Supportive Community for Senior Women
Our staff is dedicated to uniquely supporting every woman who lives at the Chapman House. We show up each day with professionalism and respect for one another. We offer ADA-approved private rooms and bathrooms and our entire facility is non-smoking. The Chapman House is a historic building with incredible charm and common areas both inside and outside where women can read, sit, or chat with friends. Additionally, we strive to enhance your quality of life with onsite amenities like a beauty salon, house keeping service, private mailboxes, a therapeutic whirlpool tub, a robust activities calendar, and daily meals in our kitchen and dining room.

Our History
The Chapman House was founded in 1887 after about ten years of work by the Ladies Charitable Society, a group of women from different religious denominations in Auburn, devoted to a relief to the worthy poor of the City of Auburn.
Your Care Providers
Our care team is comprised of register nurses and licensed practical nurses who are on site seven days a week to provide you with compassionate care. We work with each woman and their medical team to develop a care plan that will help them live fulfilling lives while living at The Chapman House.
Board of Directors
Our board is comprised of individuals who work or have worked in social services, education, health care, and more. Their expertise helps to guide The Chapman House as we continue to improve our facilities and practices to create the best experience for the women who live here.
